We are really pleased to announce that Volume 1 Climbing is now a Not-for-Profit organisation!

Following the lead from our friends at IndiRock, Boulder Shack and Rhino Boulder, who are also N4P organisations, we felt that this status better suits our purpose and values here at Volume 1 Climbing. For us as owners (Katie and Ben), Volume 1 Climbing has always prioritised customer experience and accessibility over profit. Our goal has been to provide the best possible experience and to open climbing up to as many people as possible.

To continue delivering on these goals, we need sustainable funding, and in the current climate the best way for us to do this is through the opportunities that being a not-for-profit enables.

Volume 1 has always been a values led business, and this strengthens that commitment even further. Day-to-day, nothing changes, but it allows us to continue investing everything into making the centre the best it can be. What you can expect to see is even more investment back into the centre, along with more opportunities to help open up the wonderful world of climbing to a wider range of people.

This is something we feel really happy and proud about. It feels like the right path for the future of the business, and we look forward to sharing this journey with you all.
