General Climbing.

All kids must be booked in advance to use the centre unless they have a monthly membership or pre-paid block entry.

PLEASE NOTE

This booking is for un-instructed climbing session. All under 16’s will require a supervisor to be present with them at all times whilst they are using the centre. Supervising a child at Volume 1 is an active role and requires you to be constantly moving around the centre with your child. It is not possible to supervise and stay seated whilst your child is climbing.

All climbers and supervisors will need to complete an acknowledgement of risk form prior to climbing. This can be done online HERE or via the link in your booking confirmation email.

Maximum Booking Number: The maximum number of kids that can be booked on to one session is 4. We do not allow groups of larger than 4 to book a session without a qualified climbign instructor. Please do not book more kids over 2 overlapping sessions as you may be denied entry to ensure the safety of all users of the centre. *See more information below.

Recommmended age: 4 and upwards. You are welcome to bring kids younger than this but we do find that under 4 usually struggle due to the height and physical nature of climbing.

Check list before booking if you have kids:

1) You have read our SUPERVSING KIDS information page and are aware of what supervising entails.

2) You have checked you have the correct number of Adults to supervise the number of kids you are booking for. Please see chart below for more information.

* The reason for this is that we have found that any group size larger of this requires someone that is experienced at group management in a climbing wall and therefore needs to be a qualified instructor. This is because when a group all knows each other, they tend to be climbing in the same area and therefore this increases the risk of injury to both them and other climbers and needs proper management.

This also means that it is harder for us to identify who the responsible supervisor is for each child when they are climbing as a large group.

Whilst we want to be as accomodating as possible, the centre is sadly not designed for large groups of uninstructed kids and therefore we do have to be strict with this policy for the safety and enjoyment of all users of the centre.
